The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Society which focuses on the teachings of St. Vincent de Paul. They serve those who are in need and give preference to the poor and vulnerable of our community.
The Corpus Christi Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. It is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique.
An essential precept of the Society's work is to provide help while maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served. The Society recognizes that it must assume the a role of advocacy for those who are defenseless or voiceless.
Volunteers are needed for St. Vincent de Paul to interview clients seeking financial assistance. Help is needed 3-4 hours each week, one morning a week. If you are interested in participating within this ministry or are a person in need (who lives in the 33617 or 33637 zip codes), please call 813-899-4603.
Please feel free to bring donations of non-perishable food items on Saturdays, 9-11 a.m. at the Joe Latina Food Pantry located behind the Wells Fargo Bank on North 56th Street! Monetary donations are also accepted.
