17 HOPE leaders attended the 3/19 Board of County Commission meeting to highlight the affordable housing crisis our community is facing and to publicly invite the commissioners to our 4/16 Nehemiah Action. As of now, only 1 is committed to attend! Call your commissioner and let them know you expect to see them at the 4/16 HOPE Nehemiah Action.
We have a housing crisis, and we want to see our elected officials take serious steps to address it. Too many families and seniors are struggling in our community.

Corpus Christi’s justice ministry is a formal network of members that work together withdiverse, interfaith congregations to identify local problems affecting our community, research solutions, and get commitments from local decision-makers to improve the systems affecting our communities.
The ultimate goal of our ministry: is to improve the quality of in our county to achieve a greater degree of justice, dignity and love of neighbor. We do that by listening to our members and neighbors to identify common community problems.
By building these relationships and ACTING on our shared common values and concerns we are able to bring changes in our society; bringing our cities closer to the city that God intended.
Although there are many ways to get involved with our justice ministry through our research, there are two basic commitments that our members make to help us build our collective strength:
Attending a events in the year as part of our yearly action cycle;
Members are encouraged to to participate in a Corpus Christi House Meeting during the fall Listening Process and Corpus Christi Network Meeting in Jan/Feb time.
Bringing at least three people with them to our Nehemiah Action
Our Justice Ministry network is part of H.O.P.E. (Hillsborough Organization for Progress & Equality),a multi-issue community grassroots organization.
